Fort Alumni.com and the 1980 State Championship Basketball Team is hosting a reunion weekend at Fort Defiance High School. The festivities will begin on Friday Sept 7 at the football game when the members of the 80 State Team will be introduced at halftime. On Saturday, September 8th there will be a picnic held at the Weyers Cave Community Center starting at 11:00 AM. The event is in honor of all of the former Basketball Coaches and Players and is open to the public. Food will be catered for this event but space will be limited. On Saturday Night at 6PM we will be hosting an Alumni Basketball Game at Fort along with other activities that all Fort Fans will want to attend.

Thats exactly what Class of 65 member, Lowell Sheets did!  The High's Ice Cream murders occured in 1967, and was one of the areas oldest unsolved murder cases.

This story reads like a great murder mystery written by James Patterson or another famous writer, but this is the real deal.  Not only does it have all of the plot twists and stories of corruption to grab your attention, but most importantly it happened right here in Staunton, VA.
